Thanks to the guys at Silent Running.

Reagan
Republican - You believe that the free market will
take care of most things, but that the
government should be there with moderate

THERE'S ONE BAD THING ABOUT NOT HAVING ANY PROTESTERS AROUND

It means I can't do this.

Absolutely hilarious.
Click the picture. It will take you to the blog.

ANTI-AMERICAN PROTESTORS ARE JUST PLAIN STUPID

If you listen to dumbasses like ANSWER or Not in Our Name, you'd think that every country in the world is trembling in fear, waiting until the hammer of US imperialism drops to kill their babies, impregnate their women, and lay waste to their land.
According to them, Americans are greedy, evil, selfish, barbarians whose only redeeming quality happens to be having the decency to die when attacked by terrorists.
Guess what, you steaming piles of horseshit: YOU'RE WRONG.
Of course, I knew this as did 80% of my fellow Americans (the other 20% are just socially retarded).
But guess who else thinks you're wrong: Nafna Mohammed.

Once, Nafna Mohammed fought to defend Iraq from its enemies. He served almost 20 years in Saddam Hussein’s army, and was twice wounded during his nation’s bloody eight-year conflict with Iran. But now he can’t wait for the day when the United States rains bombs and cannon-fire down on the country he once called home.

Did you get that? What? Oh, is my fist smashing your vile lying mouths impeding your ability to hear?
So sorry.
Here's another chance to hear something you're not used to.
The truth.

Mohammed wants to do more than watch the US troops invade Iraq - he wants to stand shoulder to shoulder with them when they do. He is among around 70 officers who have defected from the Iraqi army in recent years to seek asylum in European countries while lobbying for democracy in Iraq.
    [...]
He has no concerns about the reception he and the US troops would receive.
"The Iraqi soldiers will lay their weapons down," he says. "They will welcome the Americans as saviours. In the west people say Iraqis see the US as evil. But it is Saddam they regard as the devil himself. The people of Iraq pray for someone to rescue them from the evil of Saddam.Who will help them if not the US?"

That's right. He's not stupid. He knows that when you need help to save your people from despotic dictators, you do what those ungrateful ingrates--the French--always do: You call Uncle Sam.
The Iraqis see Saddam as the devil himself. I guess this means you have to get rid of that "George Bush is Hitler" protest sign. Here, let me help. I'll roll it up really tightly...
Yeah, just drop your drawers for me while you read on...

"I want to go into Iraq with the US troops, and tell my people that they are saved," he says. " I want to kiss the ground. I want to be there when the Iraqis lay their weapons down and the US rescues my people from Saddam."

He wants to be there when "the US" resuces his people. Not the Germans, not the French, not Cameroonese, but the horrible, hateful, imperialist, oil stealing Americans.

This makes me proud to be an American. It lifts my spirits to know that we are not perceived as evil by the world; only the limousene liberals and those lucky enough to be able to afford intellectual and historical stupidity.
Or insane and morally deluded Islamofascists.
Men like Nafna Mohammed know that debate, false claims of moral superiority, and endless resolutions don't free people or stop madmen.

People with the courage of their convictions and the moral fiber to do what's right, do.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm really into this game of hide-the-moron's-stupid-protest-sign.

Wait dude... Where you goin'? You dropped your PETA brochure!!!!!!!!!!!!

WELL, DUH! ONLY DEVILLEPINE AND BLIX DISPUTED IT!

Iraqi defector says that Saddam will use the chemical weapons that he doesn't have...

Hmmmmmmm, what a conundrum.

I'm sure Monsieur Chirac has his gas mask on hand.
THAT'S IT FOLKS, DIPLOMACY STYLE IS THE CAUSE OF THE WORLD'S ILLS

Mark Brzezinski, former national policy advsior (?) was just telling Bill O'Reilly that Bush's style of diplomacy is why we aren't able to get the votes we need for the 18th UN resolution. He described Bush as "ham-handed".

So, it's not blatant hypocrisy, blind disregard of previous resolutions, the complete and total ineptness and possible complicity of UN weapons inspectors with Saddam's regime, French obstructionism in order to artificially inflate the size of Chirac's shriveled scrotum (and in turn the non-existent importance of France), rabid anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism in so-call "enlightened" Europe, or the childish attempts to tweak the nose of the big kid on the block by barely functioning quasi-Socialistic regimes that is the root of the problem?

It's George Bush's unwillingness to kow-tow to unreasonable and deplorable appeasement tactics, speaking plainly, not beating around the bush (he, he), and refusing to let the butchers-by-proxy that run the UN (yes Kofi, we remember Rwanda and Bosnia), dictate American foreign policy or force him to ignore threats to national security.

If this conflict goes on much longer, all the idiots will squirm out of the wood work.

The better to squish them.
I WISH I HAD BEEN THERE

The gang at pavefrance.com have some awsome shots of a protest march...
Go here.

My favorite sign:

    "Except for:
    *Fascism
    *Communism &
    *Slavery
    War Hasn't Solved Anything"

Fucking brilliant.
I'm jealous though... I want an anti-frog demonstration..........................
FINALLY, SOME INSIGHT AND COMMON SENSE APPLIED TO THIS SITUATION!

I was planning to insert some excerpt from this article, but I can't seem to get the page to load. I'm assuming that the page is receiving a massive amount of hits and this, combined with the fact that the article is very long, is holding up traffic.

I picked the link up via Silent Running last night and boy am I glad I went and read the whole thing.
The language is full and intelligent, the arguments are cogent and sensible, and the conclusions reached are inescapably truthful.
Please read the whole article and pass the link on to everyone you know.
This is information that must be shared.

WHO WOULD FALL FOR THIS?

First of all, I don't share the same last name as the unfortunate man who lost his life, so why am I getting this crap?

JORADANIAN "CLERIC" WARNS OF NEW VIOLENCE

Muslim cleric Sheikh Mansour (sp?) warns that there will be violence against American and Western interests if Iraq is attacked.
He claims that his followers will take up arms against America in "defense" of Iraq.

And I guess just sitting around and doing nothing will lower the level of violence against us?

Yep.
I really need to join this little death cult. You can just shoot whomever you please, and claim it was a jihad against the "Great Satan" and at the same time, sue, rant, and weep anyone who calls you out on the lie of "Islamic peace".

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU,

but it only reinforces my belief that Blix and crew are merely an inconvenient distraction to hear the Iraqi ambassador to the UN (who is speaking right now), elaborate on what a good job the UN "weapons inspectors" are doing.

WELL, IF YOU WANT TO BE BLUNT AND TRUTHFUL...

Mr. da Cruz apparently knows what's up...

LISBON, Portugal, March 10 (UPI) -- Portugal is siding with the United States on Iraq because Washington was "Portugal's best way to ensure national security," a Portuguese Cabinet minister said Monday.
Foreign Minister Antonio Martins da Cruz told state radio that if Portugal were attacked, "it would be unlikely France and Germany would come to our rescue."

Well, I guess they could re-rent the ferry boats before they fill with tourists...
Thanks to Tim Blair.
OKAY TIM, YOU ASKED FOR IT...

YOUR ASSIGNMENT for today: propose a more appropriate collective noun than clutch.

Oscar winner Jessica Lange was among a clutch of Hollywood stars today who helped deliver an anti-war petition - signed by more than 1 million people - to the US mission to the United Nations.

Hmmmmmmmm....
I think cluster-fuck has a nice ring to it....

TELL US SOMETHING WE DON'T KNOW...

While I have no sympathy for the woman (in the story she comes across as shallow and materialistic), I feel compassion for her daughters and what they must have suffered.
According to the article, Saddam's quasi-mistress/semi-captive claims his feelings about the UN and US were clear.

Shaqraa, meanwhile, still spent time with Saddam. She says he wept when he was forced to withdraw from Kuwait, but that he is a man of personal courage: 'He does not fear America.' She claims he regarded the UN weapons inspectors with contempt.

Regarded the UN weapons inspectors with contempt?
Gee, I wonder why? Couldn't be that they are a bunch of idiots who couldn't find their asshole with both hands and a flashlight--IF they actually wanted to find something--could it?
Saddam knew then, as he does now, that the weapons inspectors and the UN in general are an impotent, pointless, power-hungry organization, that stinks of corruption and is dedicated to a world without America or self-determination for any people.

Get us out of the UN.
NOW!
UM, TARIQ...THEY'RE SURRENDERING BEFORE WE'VE EVEN STARTED...

If you say so.
BAGHDAD, Iraq — With a deadline for war failing to pick up support, Iraq destroyed more Al Samoud 2 missiles Tuesday in an effort to cement divisions on the U.N. Security Council and warned that any invaders will find their deaths here.
"The tyrants of the evil American administration ... will meet their black fate at the high gates of Baghdad, where the courageous people of Iraq will teach them a lesson," the government daily Al-Jumhuriya said in an editorial Tuesday.

This line, is well, just read it...

"They want us to surrender to them before the war," he [Aziz] said. "We shall not surrender at all, and when they fight ... we will fight them -- courageously and effectively -- and they will fail. They will fail."

Your "soldiers" have other ideas.

I guess he didn't get the memo...

**SNIFF, SNIFF** HORRIBLE AMERICANS

Look at them. Trying to develop weapons that will fry electronics without killing civilians.
That's just wrong.
*sniff, sniff* What a horrible tragedy.
THE ABSOLUTE IDIOCY OF WORLD

leaders and "activists" is just stunning.

I had no idea that so many people were so ignorant of so much history and so many current events.

There is no link in this post, just felt the need to put down some thoughts.
People are still harping about "oil".
This is all about oil...
Bush is an oil man...
You just want oil...
Blah, blah, blah... How can such idiots find a platform for blatantly untrue and patently stupid assertions?

These people believe that the United States would rather spend billions on war, lose Americans in battle and in escalated terrorist attacks for oil that we could easily buy.

How does that conform to any type of logic except the completely anti-American rhetorical style?
How do these idiots get people to believe this crap?
If we wanted to take the oil from constantly in-fighting, shit-hole, Arab countries that can't even agree on what Allah says to call their peckers--let alone on how to defend their natural resources--we would have done it.

I'm just flabbergasted and utterly frustrated. I'm at the point where I really don't give a shit what anyone else thinks.
We will liberate Iraq.
We will crush the ideologically retarded terrorists.
We will take care of our own.

The rest of the world can go fuck itself.

No matter what we do, we are called Imperialists.
Imperialism defined as: the policy, practice, or advocacy of extending the power and dominion of a nation especially by direct territorial acquisitions or by gaining indirect control over the political or economic life of other areas.
So, how in hell does that compute? Who is it that we have "acquired"?
Like it or not, politics is influenced by money. Is it really "imperialism" that causes governments to want to do business with America or Americans, or is it just good business sense and the desire to have their products reach the wealthiest, most shopping obsessed nation on earth?
Someone sort this out, 'cause, I don't think I can waste anymore energy on this.

I hear sophomoric arguments about "McDonald's" and "Coca Cola" being evidence that we are "corrupting" cultures. Well, if you don't like McDonald's or Coca Cola, don't buy their products. I don't see Ronald out on the street corner in freakin' Brazil forcing customers to buy a damn Happy Meal. If it ain't selling, they ain't gonna hang around.

As for corrupting cultures: Are these people for real?
Would these cultures be the same ones advocating "honor killings" of young women who are raped and can't find the witnesses to prove it? How about the head-hunters, cannibals, and human sacrificers? Surely it isn't the plethora of African tribal cultures that are bathed in the blood of their own countrymen/tribesmen?
Gee, sorry.
Didn't realize that listening to Britney Spears or watching Tom Hanks was interrupting that whole ethnic cleansing deal you have going on.
Maybe if we have Britney record some tunes about killing Jews or raping the enemy's women...
Would that help not corrupt your culture?

Guess they need to give back their cars, electricity, plastics, computers, internet, cell phones, food safety, and a cornucopia of pharmaceuticals.
I mean, that shit is Western. It's bad for your culture, dude.
Let's not talk about new crop-raising methods, telephones, freedom for the "under-classes", and nation-wide sanitation--I understand that those are "cultural hot-spots of contention".
Who wants all that Western corruption anyway? Carrier pigeons, intermittent famine, substandard housing, unavailable effective medical care, and having more children than one can feed, are waaaaaaaaaay cool!

Am I the only person who senses the inherent hypocrisy in these people?
Is it logically and philosophically possible for an anti-American protester (I won't tarnish peace by associating it with these scabs on the ass of humanity) to call his girlfriend from the "rally" with a cell phone?
HELLO!!!!!
How do you live with yourself when you protest against American ideals and then boastingly post a log of your activities on your freakin' web page?
HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! ANY DOUBLE-STANDARD OR HYPOCRITE DETECTORS STILL WORKING OUT THERE?
If not for capitalism, a free market society, and the innovation in medicine and sanitation that those ideals helped bring to fruition, 2/3 of these idiots would have died before their 5th birthday.

What a waste of space these people are.
Too bad stupidity isn't terminal.

THIS IS GONNA GET ME SOME HATE MAIL, BUT

these people are animals.

There is, sadly, no hope for them.
THE REASON FOR RETIREMENT:

some old bags are delusional and stupid.
Hey, Helen, it ain't '68 any more. Go home, feed your fish, and drink some Ensure.
I think your brain is in serious need of nourishment.
I'm sick of listening to your blatantly anti-American sentiments and questions.

[CAPITALISM MAGAZINE.COM] Watch any presidential newscast, and UPI's Helen Thomas generally asks the first question. But there's one slight problem. Though Thomas spent more than 50 years as a UPI correspondent, she no longer works for the wire service. And even though she's earned the respect of colleagues as well as presidents with her dogged questions, she now works for the Houston Chronicle as a columnist. This makes her an opinion giver, not a news gatherer and reporter.

As an opinion giver Helen, you are no longer an objective journalist.
Ari, take the old bag's seat and give it to someone who doesn't reek of Gold Bond, Ben Gay, and Communism.
TRULY, TOO STUPID FOR WORDS

Iraqi Foreign Minister Naji Sabri appealed to U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan (news - web sites) to tell the Security Council about the reports that U.S. forces had cut through the border fence erected by Kuwait after the 1991 Gulf War (news - web sites).

"The participation of Kuwait in this aggression will carry legal responsibilities according to international law and the U.N. charter," Sabri said in a letter dated Sunday and released Monday by the Foreign Ministry.

"We hope your excellency will inform the Security Council about this dangerous development so that the council will take the necessary measures about this situation, which represents a threat to the world's security."

What a bunch of shit.
Why haven't we kicked the UN out of the US yet?
What are we waiting for?
To actually let our national security decisions depend on people like Kofi Annan is an outrage and just plain unconstituitional.

FINALLY, THE VOICE OF REASON
Yeah, right.
Yassar Arafat, that shining dove of peace, has spoken out--hold on--against war in Iraq.
"I call on the international community to block imminent war on our brethren in Iraq and give sufficient time for international inspectors," Arafat said.
Arafat backed Iraq in the first Gulf War (news - web sites) in 1991, which led Arab states that were part of a U.S.-led coalition which ousted the Iraqi army from Kuwait to cut off funding to the Palestinians and expel thousands of Palestinian workers

How dare we cut off funding to baby bombers!
How insensitive of us to look after our own interests and not care that Arafat might have to skip a couple of cases of plastic explosives a week.

"This war, if it takes place, and I pray to God it does not take place, will strike security and order in the whole region."

What security and order?
The order that Arafat has established? Yeah, wouldn't want to 'disorganize' your homicide bombing organizations you backstabbing bastard.
I guess we would mess up that supply line you have coming in from your anti-Semitic buddies.

Arab states and some European allies have denounced a possible war on Iraq, fearing it could destabilize the Middle East and further complicate the Israeli-Palestinian crisis.

Can't...write...laughing....

Arab states and some European allies

Please...make it stop....
